Hellooooo wine country weekend!

It's Friday and I'm abuzz with excitement for these things:

1. Halloween Babies!
Here are some of the babes in my life in their costumes.  Some have slacked on sending me photos, so there will likely be more to come, but here's a start.  Even if you don't like babies, there might be something wrong with you if you don't think they're cute in costume. ;)

MILO & JUDE: THE CHICKEN AND THE EGG
which came first?

ARIA:  THE ONE YEAR OLD COWGIRL
doesn't my bestie's baby look natural in her western gear?

FREEMAN: PUFF THE MAGIC DRAGON
He lived by the sea . . .

MATILDA:  THE CHEF
my oldest friend's 2 year old daughter, Matilda, cooking up a feast as a chef!

SAMMY:  LIL PUPPYDOG
ruff ruff!

and just for good measure . . .

LEON: THE UNICORN
he's not technically a "baby," but he is a puppy and he's my nephew!

2. My weekend digs!
Hello, California wine country!  My daddy's in town for an annual culinary conference at the CIA in St. Helena (have you seen it?  the school itself is gorgeous), so my roomie Anna and I are driving up first thing tomorrow morning to tour some wineries, eat some of Dad's gourmet food, and stay here.  Sweeeeeeet 5600 square foot luxury Napa villa!  First stop?

Hope y'all have weekends that are just as splendid--and here's to the Saints beating the Panthers on Sunday!

I'm dying over the puppy dog costume and the unicorn dog! So funny and sweet! Thanks for this on a Friday of a loong week :)

And awesome about your Dad's arrived! I loved the CIA in NY, of course, and dreaming of visiting the one in St. Helena one day. Have an absolutely wonderful time! (I know you will :)).

I'm extremely jealous of your wine country weekend. I've only been to one vineyard in my life- and while I'm proud of the local winery, it's in my old city, Wichita Falls. NOT EXACTLY wine country!
Enjoy!

Amen! Go Saints!!!!!!

Love that we have so much in common. Weird. Another tid bit......maybe I have told you this.....but my husband and I got married in Half Moon Bay and honeymooned in Napa. We've always been drawn to California!

Puff the Magic Dragon is too cute. All the kids/costumes are.

Happy weekend!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE Halloween babies. Til was too cute as a chef! Also, Leon as a unicorn is precious.

I can never get over how we are so connected and have never me. You and Lesley are BFF, your sister married Andy, who I used to go to church with way back in the day. Maybe one of these days we can get together in real life for coffee. :)

Have a great weekend!

OMG, LEON. What a great picture!!

Your kiddos look super precious. And naturally, I'm incredibly jealous of your luxurious lifestyle that always involves gourmet food and wine!! Ugh!

I love the chicken and the egg!!! They are all so cute :) Did I ever tell you my dingbat story? When we were in Santiago looking for baby stuff (before we decided to move back to Cali pre-baby), I started to get *really* excited, looking for costumes. Till Serkan said, um, Heather, he's not even gonna be here yet.

Yep... I have my moments :)

Happy wine hunting tasting time with your papa!

And did I mention how excited and jealous I am of your Napa trip? Oh, how I miss it! I hope you have an incredible time!

Miz Claire, let me know when you're ready to tackle the food issue that is CIA in St. Helena. Been once for lunch, LOVED it and would go again in a heartbeat. SOOOOO yummy
