Sickly

When I was sick in August I posted about the things I want when I'm sick, and things haven't changed one single bit.  A bath, veggie soup, my bed, and Tim Riggins as bedside nurse?  Yes sir-ee.

Not surprising at all that I woke up in the middle of the night with a sore, scratchy throat.  That's what happens when you operate at 120 mph for weeks at a time.  Shoulda known it was coming . . .

Here's some good news.  Remember the picture of my crazy piles-of-nonsense desk?  Well, as of yesterday, here is what it looks like:

get outta my life, clutter!

And yet the clutter has manifested elsewhere.  Seems I've turned my living room into Santa's workshop:

YIKES.

Here's to hot tea & lemon & bubble baths & my snuggie!

I hope you feel better, girl! It's no fun to be sick around the holidays. And, that is quite a festive living room - but it's for a good cause!! Wrapping!

Eesh, there's nothing worse than a winter cold. Feel better! Lots of tea and snuggling in bed. (With Tim Riggins, yes? ;D)

First, feel better! The weather in SF is so dreary and cold, it is hard. Second, you totally have Santa's workshop in your living room! I am loving the tree.

Hey Claire - Hope you are feeling better!!

Thanks for the comment on my last post - I wanted to tell you my first Columns Hotel story (how I came to love it). I was in New Orleans in 2003 and we were staying at an inn on St. Charles Ave. My ex, his best friend and I went to meet another friend of ours in front of the Columns, as that is where the airport shuttle was dropping her off.

While we were waiting I told them (both Canadians and very unfamiliar w/New Orleans) that you could get a beer to go and they'd pour it into a cup for you. They didn't believe me, so I went into the Columns, ordered a beer to go, and then walked back out with it. They were impressed.

After seeing what a cool bar the Columns actually was, we went there several times on that trip. Ever since then, I have wanted to stay there and now I finally am. It is such a cool place!

oh no! i hope you can get lots of rest {and all those other things you love when you're sick}, and feel better soon! it sucks to be sick over the holidays, but maybe if you get sick right now, you'll be all better by christmas... so in that case, happy sicknessing! :)
