Beach Day (and the perks of the iPhone 4)

Although losing my iPhone sucked, the major benefit of having had to buy a new one is that the camera on the iPhone 4 is pretty amazing.  All of these pictures of my day at the beach with Freeman were taken with it, and I did no doctoring whatsoever.  The California sky really is this blue!

Sunday was gorgeous in San Francisco, so Freeman and I made the most of it and went straight to Baker Beach.  There were gaggles of teenagers in bathing suits, but it wasn't quite warm enough for that yet in my opinion . . . soon, people, soon.  F and I did put our legs in the chilly ocean water and it made me so eager for real summer to be here!

(obviously taken from the same place as my blog header--
one of my favorite places in San Francisco, hands down)

n.b.: do not wear purse on hip next time you take a shadow pic

we've been friends since Freeman was 5 weeks old!

my happiest place

So, are y'all booking your plane tickets to come visit me yet?  By the way, the nude section of the beach is right there by the bridge, at the end of the beach.  I chose to keep my distance, given that I was with a toddler.  Haha!

oh how fun! i love freeman's tee. my brother karim has the same one (in an adult size of course) and i think kahzmir believes his daddy has super powers when he sees him wearing it.

(summer please come soon! it's so chilly here!)

Those are really clear pics. The camera on my bb sucks. It's funny that people were already sporting swimsuits!

great photos- you and your little buddy look like you had loads of fun- not taking him to the nude beach was a good idea- might have scared him!

Aw he's such a little cutie! I didn't make it this far down. Is this past Land's End? When I went to the GGB and saw it from a different angle it confused me a bit more than straightening me out lol. So if you go the opposite direction of where your camera is pointed you'd be in the GGP/Twin Peaks/Inner Sunset area? Sorry I am obsessed with trying to figure out the logistics of cities I visit.

nude beach whaaatt?!! i had no idea. we have a nudist colony in my town but they're hidden in the hills and trees. you can't see them from the street. believe me, we tried.

San Fran is one of my top 3 fave cities (Chicago and DC are the other 2)!! I will be there in May and am SO looking forward to it! The hubs has a conference the first part of the week in SF and then we are heading up to Yountville for the end of the week. We even honeymooned there (Yountville, SF and Carmel). It will be close enough to our 9th anniversary (we are going 2 weeks before it) to celebrate! Yay to SF! My best girl friend lives there too. :)

Great pictures! I'm coming out in July to run the half marathon--so excited! Maybe we can meet up for food (when I'm in SF I don't do coffee and save all my calories for food!) while I'm there! Oh, and I meant to tell you that my copy of "Surviving Justice" arrived yesterday. So excited to read it!

Haha that's awesome! The iPhone 4 camera is soo much better. And the video is pretty cool.

I think people are at the beach here all year round even when it's winter so it's not a surprise if girls are in bikinis when it's cold. Plus it's always a shock seeing topless girls sunbathing. Especially when they are about 50+ and have that horrid brown paper look. x

I can't believe those pictures are taken with your iPhone. I have never wanted an iPhone because I'm quite in love with my Blackberry, but this is the closest I've ever come to wanting to get one just based on the camera ability! Wow :) Such beautiful pictures!!! I can't get over how absolutely adorable Freeman is!

I can't wait to be on that beach with you this summer! I can't wait to have our picture taken together with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background just like Freeman's pic :) xo

the iphone4 is rad! i have one, but i think yours takes better pictures than mine! lol. then again, maybe you are just a better photographer than me!

and that beach looks rad. a bit chilly right now for that sf bay water (BURR!), but the warm weather will get there sooner or later!
