a beautiful San Francisco Sunday in Freeman's back yard
Tomorrow I'll be missing Leeann, who was supposed to be visiting this weekend, until I dropped the ball and took too long to email her times (the airfare sale ended) :(. No doubt we would have torn up the town. Instead, I'll be BBQing with friends during the day, and teaching at San Quentin at night. Normally I wouldn't teach on a holiday, but I'll be out of town the next two Mondays (here I come, Georgia! here I come, Cabo San Lucas!), so I'm sucking it up for the greater good. Needless to say, my students don't have any other plans. ;)
Fittingly, I'll be teaching this poem.

You are having such a busy summer but as long as you are having fun I think it's great. And you little trips. They will be awesome I'm sure.

plus, it's usually too foggy to see any fireworks in san francisco anyway, right? this is our first 4th away from sf and we're realizing how little we care about the holiday since we spent so many years up there not being able to celebrate it. meh. plus it's things just like that poem describes that makes it tough to celebrate the US. what an amazing poem.

Ahhh, those awesome SF summers. Miss those. But, I am glad you are headed to GA and Cabo. When do you go to Cabo? I am going down there this summer as well...Aug 18. How cool would it be if you were there the same time I was?????

To answer your question. A Hens night is what we call the Bachelorette party. It's called a Bucks night for the guys :)
I have to say I absolutely LOVE how stalking motorcycle clubs and reading up on the Hell's Angels are some of the things that's kept you a busy girl haha :) I love it! You are tooooo adorable :)
Pictures of precious Jude always, always make my day! I can't wait to video chat with ya'll later this week!!!! :) And when you're in GA please send us lots of Ig photos :) I wish I was joining you in Cabo :( I'm so jealous! I would do anything to be on the beach! I think that's why I was so happy on Baker Beach even if it was freezing! :)

p.s. i can't take good photos at night either w/the iphone. they never turn out very well, which is annoying! i refuse to use flash, EVER, so maybe that is part of the problem? i just hate the way flash makes a photo look, but i guess you could try taking night shots w/and w/o flash and see which are better? or not! lol

Um, true story, my dad read that book because he was so fascinated by the whole culture BUT he's the slowest reader ever so it literally took him YEARS to finish it. Makes me giggle every time I see it!!!
