The Saints flew into San Francisco tonight (yes, I was tempted to stake out at the airport, but alas, I had to babysit), and my friend Annie just texted me to tell me she found out which hotel they're staying in! If only I had the day off and could sit around sipping coffee in their hotel lobby until I just "happened" to bump right into Drew Brees. Sigh . . .
Here are a couple other things I'm excited about:
*Checking out Souley Vegan with Matt, thanks to Groupon (you think Souley Vegan would be willing to give me free dinners in exchange for editing? Their website could sure use it). My friend Diana has been telling me about this place forever, and it's a wonder I haven't gone till now. Plus, it's next door to Beer Revolution, and you can even order Souley food from the Beer Revolution patio! Best of both worlds.
I literally dreamed about fried okra last night, by the way.
*Playing old school Mario Bros. on our new wii. Jen's boyfriend Jacob gave us his wii (since he has some other fancy game system), and basically all I wanna do is play this:
Diana and I had our poetry workshop last night, and we spent about 15 minutes on poems and about 2 hours on Mario Bros. :) Jen says she feels like we're high school boys (minus the reefers). I'm hoping the novelty will wear off sometime soon so that I can resume my normal life . . .
Until then, happy weekend!

I don't watch football, but I do enjoy the excitement of the games. Seattle has great football fans who always make loud noises down town.
Yum! Fried Okra. I have never had.

That fried okra stuff looks good and love that you are playing Mario bros on Wii. I bet that's a blast! Have a great weekend girl!
Are you going to the game???? Saw Drew tweeting from there this morning!!
Very cool that the Saints are there. We are playing a lot of old school SMB on the Wii as well, but my kids are into it, so unfortunately I'm forced to share.
We play Mario Bros on the Wii all the time! And Sonic the Hedgehog too!
Geaux Saints!
Thought about you as I stayed up most of the night watching WM3 documentaries. Fascinating!
I've been wondering if you were going to pull out your super-sleuth powers to track down our Saints. Oh, how tempting it would be to stake out that hotel lobby!
I'm SO ready for the game. . . I just wish we were able to watch together!!
if i was there (and you didn't have to baby-sit of course!) we would be stalking that hotel :)
Your plans for watching the game sound INCREDIBLE!!! the best of both worlds indeed! i wish i could watch with you instead of being at work during game time :( this just means you'll have to enjoy an extra order of okra... mmm that sounds good right about now!
is there anything better than old school Mario Bros? brings me back to my childhood and how my oldest brother taught us how to play and me and marianne couldn't get over mario jumping over the steps. Miguel had to tell us that there was a time limit and we didn't believe him until our mario did that little pop and fell off screen HA!
i love you sweet girl & happy weekend!!!! xo
Oh yessss.....and to this I say.....GO TEXANS!!!!! It should be a fab weekend, no doubt. Enjoy!
Jealous of your weekend! If only I lived up there and we could partake in all of these activities together. Oh yes, you best believe I'd crash your date ;)
I'm SO anxious about the game tomorrow!!
Haha I love that you dreamed about fried okra! I hope the food is tasty! Have a lovely weekend dear!
