Girl Survey

I'm a big fan of great suggestions.  I've gotten all kinds of awesome recommendations from the blogs I read, so the other day when I was scrubbing my bath tub and could not for the life of me get it bleachy-white, I thought: I know just who to ask!

Please chime in and give me all your wisdom on the following topics--I wanna hear from you!!

1. Is there such thing as an eyeliner that doesn't smudge at all?

2. What's the best shower/tub cleaner?

3. Do you know of a way from keeping cheap gold jewelry to stop from turning silver?

4. How do you deal with bikini razor bumps?  It's almost summer & I'm dying over here.

5. What's the most effective nail polish top coat?

I'm sure that as soon as I hit "post," I'll think of a bunch more things I wanted to ask.  But let's start here--give me your suggestions!

1. i doubt it, but try the elf cream eyeliner.

2. magic eraser, works miracles. It's the only thing I've ever used to make my tub or ANYTHING spotless (marks on walls, etc.)

3. no

4. Use eos cream shave cream and use a good razor (not disposable). And I shave every day so that helps. I use the shick silk effects (has aloe on the razor blade)

5. I use China Glaze top coat and i'm not sure about effectiveness but makes my nails so shiny!!

Loved this post! I can't wait to read what other people answer!

1. liquid liner. OR the next best thing is using a liner, then dusting eyeshadow over it to "set" it in place.

2. I use comet and a magic eraser if I'm deep cleaning (like moving-out cleaning) OR I also use scrubbing bubbles...

3. I've heard it depends on the person, and the acid levels in your skin can actually speed up the process of removing gold from jewelry. (seriously, a high end watch salesman told me this) - only other thing that's worked for me is clear coat nail polish.

4. No idea... other than shave gel EVERY TIME.

5. Still searching for this one... I've used Essie 'No chips ahead' and it seemed to do the best job so far, but still not great.

Hope these answers help!! I'm enjoying reading everyone else's suggestions. :)

Nars waterproof eyeliner. Loads of fun colors and it doesn't go anywhere... nor does it crumble off. I swear by it.

For razor burn, use this: http://www.sephora.com/the-cool-fix-P238412?skuId=1187871

It's one of the best beauty secrets I've ever heard.

And my favorite top coat is the Sally Hansen Quick Dry. I haven't found anything better yet ;)

Joelle

1. Stila Smudge Pot

2. Scrubbing Bubbles

3. Slap on a coat of top coat polish.

4. No clue

5. I like Cheeky Monkey's "I Like it on Top" top coat is what I use and it's great. I have also heard that Seche Vite's dry fast top coat is pretty good. Sally Hansen Insta-Dry is suppose to be good too.

1. Is there such thing as an eyeliner that doesn't smudge at all?

I love Stila stay all day liquid eyeliner. But here's the deal.. it's only awesome in black. The other colors suck for staying all day for some reason.

2. What's the best shower/tub cleaner?

Okay, don't laugh... But those clorox toilet wand things? Right. I have a wand for the bathtub and for the toilet and I use those clorox disposable pad things on the wand for the bathtub. I mean, I dont mix and mingle cleaning the toilet and bathtub with same scrubber. I get a new one for each every time. But, it saves you from having to lean all the way over and it works. Fabulously.

3. Do you know of a way from keeping cheap gold jewelry to stop from turning silver?

I got nuthin.

4. How do you deal with bikini razor bumps? It's almost summer & I'm dying over here.

Girl, I am dying too! And I never used to get them before I got a stupid brazilian last year. Ugh. NEVER got them. And now every time I shave. Blah. I like neosporin for treating them. And I also use a hot rag on it every night for a few minutes. That works miracles. But, it's still super annoying.

5. What's the most effective nail polish top coat?

I'm horrible with nails, so I have no idea.

Good call. I should ask the blog world things more often!! I certainly learn a lot just browsing around!

1. I use the E.L.F. products and I like they and they are cheap cheap!

2. I use comet and scrubbing bubbles, and vinegar for the glass

3. I have no idea, but if you have white gold let me know and I have tons of tips.

4. Struggle with this, please tell me what suggestion works best.

5. Love sally hansen top coat.

i only have one answer, and it is for number 2.: A MAID!

i HATE CLEANING THE TUB! it is infuriating!

drollgirl said...

wait! i have another answer. i use Coochy shaving cream for that area. it works well.

p.s. i hear porn stars use it. LOL!

i LOVE this! it's so helpful for all of us who are in need of these very things. Like drollgirl--i'm TOTALLY going to get me some Coochy shaving cream lol (i don't know why, it's not like I'm going to be able to see my girl bits in the next few months ha!) Right now i'm using BikiniZone Anti-Bumps shave gel and it seems to do the trick!

i also love the magic eraser for shower/tubs.

those are the only ones i have answers for. love this!

xoxo

see you soon! :)

I suck at makeup advice. But cleaning? Love it. KABOOM is the best cleaner I've ever used for the bathroom. Use a steel wool scrubbing sponge. That makes a huge difference too.

Nail polish top coat? OPI. All the way.

1. i love the automatic kohl liner from ulta...OR their gel liner topped with powder of the same color.

2. uuhhhh...i can ask my husband, since he's the one that cleans it

3. NO!! and i need one. i think my skin eats that cheap gold color for breakfast.

4. ::knock on wood:: i've never had one

5. i am obsessed with seche vite. it dries polish in like....5 minutes. and you put it on wet polish. so it's like magic. super shiny magic.

1) No, but applying primer to the eyelid before putting on liner makes mine stay crisp a LOT longer!

2) Magic Eraser, hands down.

3) No, sorry :(

4) Stop messing around with shaving and get a bikini wax. In my experience, worth the $$! I've tried the at-home ones too and they're not too bad.

5) I use Essie's quick drying one that seems fine but I've heard a lot of good things about that Seche Vite!

I learned a great trick for razor bumps a few summers ago. Immediately after shaving, apply clear, stick deodorant to that area! It's worked pretty well for me!

~Haley~ said...

1. Liquid Eyeliner (I use from Victoria Secret) or Revlon Colorstay
2. I spray with Clorox Clean Up after every shower, spray with hot water, then for the real cleaning use a Mr Clean Eraser!
3. I don't wear gold :(
4. I use Coochy Shave Cream from Pure Romance (for all over my body), it's the best and leaves your skin sooo soft. Haven't had a razor bump in over a year!
5. I prefer to use Zoya nailpolish & topcoats for everything ~ vegan & cruelty free :)

Now to read the comments and find fun tips for myself ;)

The only thing that's ever kept me from bumps is an electric shaver. Totally works!!

These are great questions because I wouldn't know the answers to any of them.

Shower cleaning.. I seriously use any cleaner but I use those mould cleaner sprays and they really do work. p.s. Make you your bathroom is well ventilated when using those sprays though. I nearly fainted I inhaled so much the first time.

Cheap gold jewellery I sometimes use a polishing cloth but I don't know if it really stops if from turning silver.

5. Seche Vite! I use one coat of it over my nail polish all the time, and it makes nails shiny and truly prevents chips. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! :)

Bikini shave bumps are so dumb... so so dumb. the best remedy I've found is cetaphil everyday. Putting it on every day after you shave helps but still, such a pain.

and i have no answer for the other questions sadly!

best shower tub cleaner: http://methodhome.com/shop/le-scrub-bathroom-cleaner/

look no further!! its gritty and gel like and no chemicals, its perfect.

also, i dont know about the most effective top coat, i think its more effective to make sure your nails are prepped correctly before you begin the mani (no oils on nails whatsoever), let each layer dry FULLY and then put on a nice top coat, like essie.

Hope it's not too late to chime in =) I'm real behind on blogs hah!

1. I have yet to find it - do share when you discover hah!

2. I use some cheapie foaming walmart brand. It smells horrible but works really well

3. Paint it with clear nail polish (keeps air out so it wont oxidize)

4. Err... I wax, so I don't get them.

5. I really like OPI chipskip (i think that's the name of it??)
